What is a dental emergency?

A dental emergency can be:

• Tooth ache
• Wisdom tooth pain
• Dental abscess
• Gum infection
• Facial swelling
• Chipped or cracked teeth
• Broken fillings, veneers, or bridges

If you have an emergency

We aim to see you as quickly as possible to alleviate pain and offer any immediately necessary treatment. If you experience an emergency out of hours, please contact the NHS out of hours service on 111.
